Sebastián Hasani Páramo is the son of Mexican immigrants. His work has recently appeared or is forthcoming in Blackbird, The Kenyon Review Online, Cosmonauts Avenue, Southwest Review, Salt Hill, & North American Review, among others. He is the Editor-in-Chief of THE BOILERHe has received scholarships and awards from Sewanee Writers’ Conference, Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, and the Vermont Studio Center. He holds an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College and lives in Denton, Texas as a PhD candidate at the University of North Texas, where he is the Rossetti Broadside Prize Editor for American Literary Review. 


With Robert Torres, he co-founded the Pegasus Reading Series in Dallas, Texas in 2014. The Dallas Observer named Pegasus Reading Series “Best Poetry Night” in 2015. With Courtney Marie, of Spider Web Salon, he co-founded Deep Ellum Lit Hop in 2016, a DFW event that brought together art collectives to Deep Ellum for a literary pub crawl.

In 2019, he started The Burning Plain Reading Series in Denton, Texas.
